Listed below are the different food types. In addition to meat and poultry, the following three groups include eggs and dairy products. Eggs are broken down further into egg substitutes, cooked egg products, and read-to-eat egg products. Meat and poultry are further divided into four major categories: beef, pork, and other meat. Meats include ground beef, hams, and sausage products. In addition to meat, there are also four types of milk: whole, skim, and skimmed.
